It's a Different World is a four-part discussion series co-sponsored and hosted by Frank J. Ancharski of Club Coach Solutions and Rodney J. Morris of Workplace Culture Workout. Beginning in January, each month will feature a different topic and panelists. Our intention with hosting the series is to rekindle the conversation about diversity, inclusion, and equity within the fitness industry. The time to act is now and the future of our industry depends on the choices we make today.

Frank’s vast array of experience spans over 30 years including three start-up companies in the club, non-profit & medical fitness side of the industry as a General Manager, Area Director, Vice-President, COO, CEO, and Owner. He is the Founder and Chief Coaching Officer of Club Coach Services, a boutique fitness consulting company. Frank is passionate about creating a little L.I.P. Service, that is Leadership, Inspiration, and People Management. That servant leader mindset is used to formulate actionable and executable initiatives for his clients.

Rodney J. Morris

Co-Founder Workplace Culture Workout, MyFitPod™

Rodney is a seasoned presenter, educator and SME on employee engagement, training, recruitment, workplace culture, inclusion, and leadership development within the fitness industry. Over the years, Rodney has worked with and alongside the most well-established brands in health & fitness. As an industry veteran with 20 years of experience leading growth and change initiatives, Rodney has a unique and disruptive perspective on the interconnection between organizational culture, the advancement of technology, employee engagement, and the future of the fitness industry.

About Our Panelists

Joella Hopkins

Vice President of Group Fitness, EOS Fitness

Joella Hopkins is the Vice President of Group Fitness for EoS Fitness overseeing gyms in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Florida. She has approximately 30 years of experience in the fitness industry from general management, sales, personal training with expertise in group fitness management. Presenting at respected fitness conferences for the past 20 years including IHRSA, Club Industry, SCW Fitness, FitnessFest, DCAC among others, her topics have included master classes in step, weight lifting, functional core, HIIT, sports conditioning, as well as lectures on personal training, small group training, group fitness management and leadership. She was also a Master Trainer and Presenter for Les Mills for 15 years for BODYPUMP, BODYSTEP, and BODYATTACK appearing in BODYSTEP workout videos. She has traveled the world training instructors, personal trainers, and managers to teach, lead and make a career in fitness. At EoS Fitness, Joella’s goal is to allow the members to experience “boutique-like” group fitness classes at a price that everybody can afford. Her favorite things are God, dogs, and wine.

Bill McBride

Bill is a health club industry veteran with over 25 years of experience leading and managing all aspects of commercial health clubs, medical fitness centers, residential, community, multi-tenant and corporate fitness sites. He co-founded Active Wellness, LLC and owns a health club consultancy - BMC3. Bill has served as Chairman of the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) Board of Directors, President of the Mid-Atlantic Club Management Association (MACMA) and served on the Industry Advisory Board for the American Council of Exercise (ACE). He is actively engaged as an author on industry education, serves on several fitness related technology company Advisory Boards, serves on the Medical Wellness Association (MWA) as a Faculty Member and The Medical Fitness Network (MFN) Advisory Boards. Bill also served as Contributing Editor for ACSM’s Health/Fitness Facility Standards & Guidelines, 5th Edition. Bill was recently acknowledged as one of the top 25 Consumer HealthTech Executives for 2020. Bill consults & speaks regularly on industry topics throughout the world.

Lindsay Vastola

Blending her extensive service industry experience in both corporate management and fitness entrepreneurship, Lindsay Vastola energizes success-driven professionals with her out-of-the-box presentations, creative workshops, and courses, and by curating conversation on issues that impact all facets of business and life…all grounded in the proven principles of Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Lindsay is the founder of Body Project Fitness, served as the editor-in-chief of Personal Fitness Professional (PFP) magazine, sits on industry advisory boards, and is a speaker and educator across industries.

Katherine Quinn

Vice President of Customer Success, Sneeze It

For nearly 30 years Katherine has pursued her passion for fitness, health, and athletics. She has extensive experience in the health, fitness, and sports industries, having held positions in gym management and ownership, sales, marketing, advertising, promotions, personal training, and countless volunteer hours coaching and advocating for increased accessibility to youth sports. She has spent the past 3 1/2 years helping gym owners and franchises increase revenue through digital marketing and sales process strategy. Katherine now serves as VP of Customer Success for Sneeze It, building and overseeing client success and account management.
